FireWorks Gallery hosts some of Australia's most alluring and challenging contemporary art work from established and emerging artists Indigenous and non-Indigenous.
Building on creative networks begun in 1987 through Campfire Group collaborative projects, FireWorks emerged as a commercial gallery space in Brisbane in 1993. The Gallery showcases a dynamic exhibition program of
Indigenous art, cultural material and 'crossover' issues. FireWorks and Queensland Indigenous artists have since been profiled in numerous national and international curatorial projects, publications and commissions. The large warehouse Gallery is nestled in the Newstead arts precinct of Brisbane.
